Hello, my name is Dariusz Kulakowski and I run Die Eule, a bartending school based in Berlin, Germany. I have worked in a variety of cocktail bars, restaurants and hotels including Crackers, Hotel de Rome, Limonadier and Provocateur. All here in Berlin, over the course of about a decade. 


My mission is to teach the next generation of bartenders and mixologists, providing them with a framework of information, skills and mentality that will bring them lasting success throughout their careers. After all, the world of mixology is a wonderful one. It is FULL of creativity, exploration, history, people, travel, community, spirits, mystery and good old fashioned fun. Why wouldn't you want to be a part of that? This is where I come in. While working in the industry for all these years, I noticed that learning it, especially at the beginning, can be very challenging: there is no central place for valid information, there is no perfect set of rules, and references and resources can often be very hard to find and can often be wrong. I want to change that. I want this site and this school to be the one place where you can find all the knowledge you need. I want to see the next generation of bartenders grow, to see them explore new techniques that we could not even fathom when I started, and to see their numbers swell into a new wave of amazing drink slingers, gracious hosts, attentive servers, wicked fast barbacks and caring managers. I can only hope that this place will be the starting point for them, and for you if you too choose to join us.
